On-site Technical Support & Equipment Setup Service
BKY IE’s tailored equipment setup service is designed to ensure the chemicals we supply perform as expected. An on-site assessment is conducted with live demonstration – ensuring that chemicals are applied evenly for a consistent mould release every time.
We have advanced technical knowledge covering all aspects of Thermal-Setting materials From Aluminium in HPDC (High Pressure Die Casting) to Polyurethane Moulding. Our support also covers other materials such as Rubber, Advanced Composites, GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) and Rotational Plastics. Thermal Image Camera Studies (TICs)
We have our own state of the art FLIR thermal image camera for carrying our die and mould thermal studies. The images form part of a technical reporting service and are presented to the end customer for you to act on and for your information. This function is part of our technical presentation helping ensure our products meet your needs and you understand the technical performance of our products.
Metal Cutting & Coolant Control including Die lubricants
We manage sumps, day tanks and mixing vessels at regular intervals to suit our customers’ needs and work within HSE MW5 guidelines re: COSHH guidelines (ASTM E2693, ASTM E2657, ASTM E2245, ASTM E2169) we work very closely with our manufacturing partners to ECHA and UK Reach regulations. We use portable incubators, Refractometers and Colorimeters for our onsite visits and we have test facilities in our Ireland laboratory that works in conjunction with our partner companies’ physical testing laboratories. We provide updated reports and share these findings with you. If any material adjustments are required then we make these on site where possible and monitor the outcomes in line with your requirements.
Technical Product Evaluations
We demonstrate our materials at your site when introducing new chemistry or alternative materials to your incumbent supplies. We carry out process and application studies and follow up with a comprehensive visit report that forms part of our go forward strategy with you – having information at hand to make the necessary informed choice.
